Ever since Adobe announced its new subscription only policy in May one of the most vocal groups has been photographers. Almost immediately, Adobe began to promise to look for solutions for this group. This was met with a large degree of skepticism but it’s now official, as announced at Photoshop World 2013, Adobe has put together a special Creative Cloud package aimed squarely at Photographers.

Along with some other goodies, Adobe has put together a difficult to resist Creative Cloud offering for photographers featuring Lightroom and Photoshop.
Included in this $9.99 per month package is:
- Photoshop CC
- Lightroom 5
- 20 GB of Creative Cloud file storage
- A Behance Prosite
The only requirement is that you hold a license to Photoshop CS3 or later. Further, the $9.99/month price is not an intro offer. Anyone that signs up prior to December 31 will continue to get this price. Of course, it’s not guaranteed forever but unlike the intro offers for the full Creative Cloud package, this is not limited to the first year.
Finally, I expect some of you will still be unhappy about the subscription model but Creative Cloud is here to stay. At the very least, however, this should prove that Adobe is indeed listening to their customers.
Sept 18 Edit: This offer is now available by clicking here.
For full details on this offer, please check the Photoshop.com blog.
what about the price for elements and lightroom users
Elements is not part of Creative Cloud and Lightroom is available stand alone.
If we are already paying for the entire CreativeCloud suite, can we change our subscription and JUST get the PS and LR for 9.99/mo? I have a PS CS5 licensed copy
Good question, Tina. You’ll need to call Adobe and ask about that. But you might want to wait a week or two since the offer isn’t available yet.
insanely awesome. Anyone who complains…well they probably troll on the internet to pass time anyways.
And of course, Bridge is included in the deal!
Indeed it is. Thanks for the reminder.
If it included Bridge….then I would jump on it as I use bridge to import into photoshop
.just saw the post above that bridge will be included. That’s a great deal! :)
Will there still be a discount for students and teachers???
Hi Sharon, I’m not sure how much more of discount you expect, but this is not an academic package. It’s target audience is photographers that need nothing but the Photoshop and Lightroom. That said, students and teachers get a great deal on the full Creative Cloud package. You can read more here: https://www.boblevine.us/creative-cloud-introductory-pricing-for-students-and-teachers-is-back/
Thanks Bob, I teach PS for Seniors (Over 55) and we are always looking for discounts. Yes, I agree it’s a great deal. So sad I bought PS6 this summer, because I was one of the photographers that did not want to do CC. Oh well. It’s just so amazing that Adobe actually listened to it’s customers.
how do I sign up for this deal?
Keep an eye on the Photoshop.com blog that I linked to in the article. Should be available in the next couple of weeks.
Will the offer be extended to those who signed up for the single app of Photoshop CC and never had a CS license.
The whole point of this offer is to show loyalty to long time Photoshop users who bought licenses and upgrades over the years. While I have no inside info on other plans I would highly doubt this will be extended beyond the current scope.
